So I'm New to Anno1800. I have found that I really like it. And was going to buy the DLC for the game. I only Have one question is the new DlC playable with old ere save games files befor the DLC came out.?

Yes, you will get a prompt similar to the one below when first loading the save after purchasing the DLC. Make sure that you select yes, as the decision is final as Brumiros stated.
