Hey.

For quite a long time, my Anno1800 game, comes up with an error after each play session. Saying It Failed to synchronize cloud saves. It is only Anno1800 having issue with this. Other Ubisoft games, i.e Anno2205 have no issues with cloud saves.

I tried many step by step guides such as in following order:
These issues happen on BOTH my Laptop and Desktop!

  • Removing anti virus
  • Launching Ubisoft Connect in Admin mode.
  • Verify game files.
  • Reverting back to previous cloud save (Says it cannot do this because of a corrupt save file)
  • Disabling Cloud saves and removing savegame files and folder (creating a backup)
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling.


This is really frustrating as I often play on different computers, my laptop and my desktop. Bringing Anno with me, as I frequently travel. But for a whole month I've been unable to, as my games are out of synch.
I have spent 2½ hours trying to fix this; and no luck. Even a fresh install it fails to synchronize. This issue has been persistent for a whole month.

After disabling cloud saves and backing up your saves, if you didn't already do so, could you please then launch the game, play until it makes you auto / manually save then close the game and re-enable cloud saves?

This should resync your saves and do the trick.

If this is what you've already tried or there's no change after this though, could you please open a ticket via our Support Site, Facebook or Twitter so we can look into this further with you?
