Hi,

My pal and I have been playing for a few weeks and we have not been facing issues when booting up our multiplayer match. We were really looking forward to Bright Harvest but since the DLC came out we have not been able to play consistently due to desync errors. We have tried using Hamachi and port forwarding but our game still desyncs at the end of the loading screen. The game would freeze for a few seconds and we would get a Desync Detected - LR40 error message.

I don't think this is due to connectivity issues as this error was not present when we started playing before Bright Harvest.

I posted this on the Steam forums but my post got deleted by one of the moderators for some unknown reason.

I really hope this gets fixed soon. We have spent hours on our game and this is frustrating to say the least.

The threshold seems to be when a save file reaches around 8MB in multiplayer mode after this loading the game becomes very difficult until the point where the multiplayer game wont load at all. Anno 1800 is sadly currently unplayable.

This is what support said "At the moment, the only workaround we can offer, is to start a new game, until this issue is fixed." - which kind of misses the point, so we have just stopped playing. I too hope they fix this soon, but there has been no sign of a patch yet.
