After a view days I figured out that Anno 1800 is as badly programmed a Anno 1604. 15years ago it was full of bugs and now it still is. But still a fun game.
I could not save a game or load or continue from the title screen. the problem was Onedrive and the path it used. Anno 1800 looks for your documents folder during installation but uses a different method during saving. So I uninstalled Onedrive and Anno 1800 and reinstalled Anno 1800 problem solved. Thanks Ubisoft that you did not help me on this on.
I played a couple of hours everything worked fine and the game was saved.
Yesterday I tried it again and now it crashes on startup.
What is wrong with you? Make something that works.
