I played Odyssey a long time ago and that was my favorite assassin's creed. In valhalla opening all these barred doors(like 800 doors rated 5 year old child difficulty to open... more time consuming and lowering of self esteem than anything) and finding these BS keys It is terrible. But that's not why I'm here today.

I have not played this game for 7 months and there's a reason why.
I originally spent $180 or OVER, idk on this game + DLC + Helix Credits.
Today I finally hopped back on the game... but I don't think I'll ever hop back on... omg 2nd time I'm unbelievably [censored] off.

Back in Christmas time or sometime around then I took a week off work for vacation. 9 days off in total. I played this game for 7 of those days, but my game froze on day 7... and regardless of my manual saves + autosaves, when I rebooted up my game, For some odd reason ALL my saves got wiped and I lost like 50hrs of gameplay. My Xbox decided to replace all my saves with whatever my last sync with the game save cloud... my whole vacation was for nothing.

Ok.... so now here I am like 7 months later and I finally decided to give valhalla a go again. I spent the whole day playing the game. I went to the main menu and got a pop up with a QR code for Amazon prime bonuses with ubisoft connect. AFTER the prime bonuses, I tried getting some of the "free" items with my ubisoft points(not Helix credits), but could only get half of the items... they took forever to apply.
***THIS IS A COMPLICATED SITUATION***
If a ubisoft employee needs my emails to verify anything, please PM me.
My Xbox gamertag is FullerOrb7
My ubisoft username(for this email) Is FullerOrb77
I also have another ubisoft account which I forgot about with my 2nd email. That username is the same as my gamertag and my PS4 name tag Fullerorb7.
I accidentally created 2 ubisoft accounts in the past 5 years.
One account had 320 ubisisoft points on it and the other had 290.
I had an idea if I unlinked my gamertag Fullerorb7 from my ubisosft account Fullerorb77, then link it to my ubisoft account without the two 7's, I could burn the remaining ubisoft points and delete my 2nd ubisoft account.
Well...... this costed me dearly. I lost a lot of real money by doing this.

When I first bought this game I bought 6600 Helix Credits.
With those Helix Credits I bought the permanent boost pack, complete map pack and the Dreka bow(WHICH I SPENT A TON OF RESCOURCES ON upgrading.... ERRR [censored]!!!!!!)
MAN..... I really don't want to be spending all this time writing about this rushed glitchy game.

Anyways when I unlinked my gamertag from ubisoft Fullerorb77->Fullerorb7 and then back to Fullerorb77, I lost everything. My 4050 Helix Credits that I had left are reset to 0, my map packs are gone, my double xp/money packs are gone AND my dreka bow is gone. I own no purchases besides my season pass which is license locked to my actual gamertag, not . All my in game purchases are gone... the bow that I spent a ton of resources on upgrading to a level 9 is gone.... all this just because I wanted to burn my ubisoft points on my 2nd ubisoft account before deleting it.... ohhh man what a mistake.

PLEASE. verify I bought the Helix Credits, then verify I own NONE, then verify I own nothing bought with them. I only own the season pass.... which cannot be bought with Helix Credits.
I don't even own the Amazon prime items I just unlocked.

Hello there @fullerorb77! Welcome to the forums 🙂

I apologise for the delayed response. I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered trouble with your Helix credits purchases after unlinking your Xbox account from your main account (Fullerorb77).

Please note that linking and unlinking external accounts can have a permanent impact on your games due to cross-play and cross-progression. To help us support these new features, we made changes to account linking by introducing reference accounts. Connecting your Xbox account to your Ubisoft account will now create a permanent link. Once the link is created, the linked account will be the reference account and you will not have the option to re-link a different account. You can read more about these changes here.

Any purchases/progression made are tied to the Ubisoft Account. This means that when you unlink your Xbox account from one Ubisoft account and link it to another, any purchases/progression made will not carry over. They will instead be reset to match the newly linked Ubisoft Account. This also means that Helix Credits and any purchase made from the Animus store will not carry over to your newly linked account. Local save games will remain unaffected by any change in the linked accounts.

As you have not purchased any Helix credits, or items from the Animus store, on Fullerorb7, this is why you no longer have access to these purchases.

I understand that this is not the answer you were hoping for, and apologies for any disappointment that has been caused.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thanks! 😊

Hello there @guest-Z0tuOfOm!

I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered trouble when playing Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. You mention that you've encountered trouble with crashes when equipping runes, as well as save issues.

The development team are aware of an issue wherein players are experiencing crashes when equipping runes. They've shared that they will be deploying a fix for this issue in a future update. You can find more information in this thread about the issue.

We also have a couple of Megathreads regarding save issues. If any of these match the issue you're encountering when trying to save, please could you share your report within the correct thread:
"Data Corrupt!" Error on Save Games
My progress has been reset / lost; recent save games not available

If the issue you're encountering when trying to auto/quick save doesn't fit in any of these threads, please can you open up a new thread so we can take a closer look at the issue you're encountering? This will prevent us from going off-topic within this thread about linking accounts. When opening a new thread, please include as much information as possible, including any error codes you receive, as this will be helpful for further investigation.

Thanks! 😊
