I have played the free weekend last time on the same computer and it worked perfectly. This free weekend as of recent it has consistently crashed at around the 10-20min mark. These crashes happen no matter what I am doing in the game, afk, settings, singleplayer, multiplayer, no event in game triggers it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled anno and ubisoft connect multiple times, played offline and not, minimum graphics and maximum, directx11 and 12, none of which change whether or not it crashes. When it crashes it sometimes gives the fail to synchronise achievements error but this is inconsistent and the game crashes regardless of being online or offline, having cloud save on or off. I have run the game as admin and not, same result. I have checked guides online and have tried configuring with setings in nvidia and none have which have changed anything. I have restarted the computer multiple times and nothing changed. I have checked task manager and nothing is getting overworked, too hot when it runs, and no other program conflicts with it. Anti-virus doesn't effect it and have tried on and off. I have also tried turning off all other programs and this does nothing. I have installed it on my SSD and HDD, nothing. I tried updates and backdating drivers and nothing changes, microsoft is fully up to date,

One thing to note, after a crash if I click play on ubisoft connect without exiting and restarting ubisoft it will crash on launch. If I close ubisoft then restart ubisoft and launch anno it will work fine for the 10 min then crash. All my other ubisoft games work fine and cloud save fine: Far cry 5, GR Wildlands, Anno 1404.

To try remedy I have also deleted the .spool files (while ubisoft is closed) and new ones are automatically created when I launch ubisoft connect.

My friend has a very similar pc to mine and has none of these crashes:

My PC specs:
Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
Intel i5-9600k
16GB new ram sticks (idk the product but never had an issue, they run at max 60% during the game)
Samsung EVO SSD (no problem there)
2 TB Harddrive (no problem either)

I actually like the game and would buy it if it didn't crash all the time

Hey WilliamWalnut,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you as the Free Weekend Event has now concluded

Were you able to resolve your issues at all?

If you do encounter this with the game or any other titles, we would recommend following the steps in our troubleshooting guide. Particularly verifying the game's files and performing a Clean Boot just to ensure there aren't any corrupt files or conflicting programs at play!

If those steps don't resolve your issue, you're more than welcome to open a case on our Support Site and send over your system files.
