[2021] Game crashes on the "click to start the game" screen at startup

Just as the title, game crashes if I press any button. Sometimes it will work just fine if I give it a good 2 minutes for it to figure itself out but not always.
Benchmarks work perfectly fine and I completed the basic troubleshooting guide.

NOTE: Every single log file fails to open files, despite validating files multiple times, but this doesn't seem to be the issue as the times the game worked, these files also failed to open.

on a sidenote, if the game manages to launch it works perfectly without any issues. It's a weird crash as it happens only once i press a button, altho the game launches just fine
