To put it lightly - what on Earth are Ubisoft smoking? Whatever it is they're smoking far too much of it.
The game downloaded and installed on the Epic launcher, which I prefer (only marginally) as the U-play launcher is a bit like, I dunno, having mouth cancer.
Anyway, once it was done installing I clicked play. Only for the ******ed U-ploy installer to launch and re-download the game to the same folder. I tried pointing u-polyps to the folder but it told me it couldn't verify the existing game files and so it will instead carry on re-downloading the entire game (because maybe the version from 68 seconds ago is out of date, who knows).
Anyway, Ubisoft if you could stop smoking whatever you're smoking for long enough to read this: please either close off u-annoyer-play forever or make the "locate files" function actually work, or maybe pay your developers more so they have time to test a few features or something man I dunno where this issue stems from but you're able to achieve new levels of annoyance for your player base.
