Dear Ubisoft,

After over a decade of playing your games (a third of which I couldn't finish due to glitches) suffice it to say I'm just as tired of contacting you as you are of hearing from me, so please forgive me for continuing regardless in the vague, lukewarm hope you will one day listen to what I (and millions of others) are saying.

I thought the mastery challenges in Valhalla were a great addition. I mean, with the help of multiple patches, I actually managed to finish one of your games, so surely this new feature would work and add to the franchise. Small wins, right? Wrong. After shooting over 50 arrows right between the eyes of enemies and not logging headshots, I can say this...my aim is impeccable, but yours is not. Why are you always 5 miles from the target of developing an actual fully functioning game? It's not a rhetorical question, I really want to know. I've had NPCs fall into cliffs, through the ground, detect me with their backs turned, detect me when fully concealed...enemies with 360 degree peripheral vision, which is biologically remarkable by the way, and that's in Valhalla alone, but hey...at least you gave me a free in-game hat when I got stuck in the loading screen of Division for 6 months. Sadly, Revelations Ezio was stuck there until I binned off 100 hours of gameplay and restarted from scratch. F.

I could go on...but do I really need to? Sure, I keep buying your games, funding your disregard for QA testing and generally being a blind optimist, but that's because I keep hoping for better. As an editor, maybe my expectations are too high, but when you're releasing a product into multiple markets across the globe...shouldn't your expectations and quality control standards be high? Again, not rhetorical. I'd love an answer, so do me a favour and give me one.

In short, please fix the stealth and archery in your mastery challenges. Actually, go nuts and fix them in the base game too. In fact, just go back to the drawing board altogether and when Joe from Marketing says "hey...wouldn't it be funny to release ANOTHER broken game and see if people buy it?" just say yes because we both know nothing will change and I'm tired of having this conversation.

Small aside, you now owe me over £300 for broken games. I won't hold my breath in the hope you will actually compensate me, but I will leave you with this take-home message: glitches are always going to happen in games, and customers accept (and are tolerant of) that, but the fact you still haven't overcome the same basic glitches you had a decade ago and the fact you have more glitches than any other developer I've encountered, says that you simply haven't tried to fix them and/or you don't have the expertise to do it and/or you just don't care. I honestly have no interest in which it is.

People's patience is finite, so show some respect and release a working game once in a while. I look forward to this being deleted and getting absolutely no apology for your barrel-scrapingly low disregard for the innocent customers who buy your games and the money it costs them. Good luck with your next game. Unsurprisingly, I won't be buying it. As I said, patience is finite.

Warm wishes,

Chell

Hey there guys,

Thank you for this post and sharing your thoughts on Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, as well as other recent releases.

I'm very sorry to hear your experience of the game has been negative while we work on previous and current reported issues and bugs.

Work is still very actively ongoing on the game to address the bugs reported to us with frequent hotfixes and Title Updates being created to address these, with the Pinned Threads following progress on this.

We try to maintain a level of transparency with players regarding issues when they're reported and investigated, however unfortunately when it comes to these investigations we're unable to provide exact dates to expect resolutions.

With the release of Siege of Paris and more content planned, we of course hope you can enjoy Assassin's Creed: Valhalla again as more issues are fixed.

We're more than happy to pass your feedback regarding the Stealth and Archery systems in the Mastery Challenges on to the team as something for them to consider going forward.

Further to this if there's anything more you'd like to share, or anything more we can help with, please let us know.

Thank you!
