Hello! theres been a sound bug that still havent got fixed until this day. Missing footsteps. unbalanced sound fx volumes. game updated to 1.3.0

setup: r7 3700x
gtx 1660ti
32gb ram
installed in a nvme ssd

And to make things easier, i copied the ubisoft staff's questionnaire.

What platform(s) do you play Assassin's Creed Valhalla on?
PC

Can you please describe the nature of the audio issues you are facing and their severity (e.g. compression, low bitrate, poor quality).
There are missing sound fx especially when running/walking, unbalanced volumes of sound fx.

Did you start to play Valhalla before the initial game updates were released in November 2020?
I played the game since march

Can you recall during which quests / cutscenes you first noticed these audio issues?
I didn't make a lot of quests, but if I remember the audio issues are in every cutscenes or so. but they are not only in cutscenes, they are in gameplay too

What is your audio set-up? What type of audio output is in use?
im using corsair HS70 headset. been playing between the stereo and virtual surround. still the same issue. but im using the stereo mode for some time now.
and using creative sbs a320 2.1 speakers.

Provide a screenshot of your in-game audio settings
I played the settings between audio dynamic range night/medium/full

Provide a video demonstrating the issue(s) you are experiencing

Also I've been waiting and checking the patch notes in every update hoping that the sounds/audio are getting fixed (especially the infamous compressed audio problem). but we only received a vague one that didnt really fixed anything.

Hey guys,

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Can I check whether you are encountering this only in buildings between rooms or does this happen out in the open too?

Many thanks

Hey there,

Sorry to hear you encounter this at a cave in St. Kenhelm's Falls.

Would it be at all possible to share a link to a video of this happening?

Many thanks

Hey there,

The reason we ask for a video is so that we can see exactly what is happening so that when we come to replicate the issue we know exactly what we are looking for.

Many thanks once again

Hello @bielik01,

Thank you for the update! I just tried reproducing this issue both on my PS5 and my PS4 and regretfully, with no success.

As I understand that you're on holiday at the moment, you can always provide us with the requested data once you're back - updating this thread will give us visibility on this thread we will be able to pass it along to the development team 🙂

Thank you for your understanding and if you have any additional questions, please let us know!
