Hi there!

I've returned to the game after a while to play in sandbox mode, I like the challenge to do it against hard pirates and 3 stars AI. But to my surprise I've found all opponents are extremely weak, a very different behavior to the one I'm used to.

When they settle they look like normally growing their city, with the main ship always at the harbour and the two little ones on patrol. A while after they go to a second island, and from then they just move their ships between the two islands, never building more vessels nor occupying any other island except at the new world.

They remain like this for hours, imagine how unchallenging it is for a player like me who likes the thrill of combat and loosing/conquering islands while managing the economy.

I use a lot of mods and never had any effect on the AI, but now even removing all of them the opponents are just dumb.

What's happening?

Hey conradarnoc,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, thank you for reaching out regarding this

Are you still encountering this behaviour?

And if so, are you able to please provide a clip so we can take a closer look?

I do also agree with chris02918's suggestions thus far, as mods do run the risk of making further modifications to your game, that can be unexpected!

Let us know how you're getting on!

Thank you!
