Basically I can't play the game anymore.
Last time I had to battle against U. Connect to make it work (to be able to play it, I had to run the app as administrator, otherwise it will not launch the game). Recently, the only changes before starting to crash when launching the game was an update from Ubisoft Connect. Other games like Rainbow Six Siege works fine but this game in particular (anno 1800) doesn't want to launch. I also have unlocked some "avatars" in game (rewards from Uplay) but in the game they are blocked. Seriously, this freaking DRM plattform is ruining more the experience than improving it. It seems more of a punishment for supporting games legitimately than a reward.
More in detail my problem:
-The game launches but a second after entering the game, it crashes without any message. It just synced with my cloud saves.
How do I know it's the Ubisoft connect app the main cause?
-Because the only change on my computer before this problem was this app, and last time to be able to run the game I had to "fix" the app instead of the game or my computer.
Things I tried:
-updated drivers
-Ubisoft connect offline
-verify game files
-reinstalled U. Connect
-Ubisoft connect and Anno 1800 exe running as administrator (before last update this worked fine)
Is there a way to go back to a previous version of Ubisoft Connect? Because I seriously doubt they'll fix it.
