[2021] Assassin's Creed Revelation flickering camera

I have a new PC and after downloading the game to play it again, it has immediately started to flicker: in the opening screen, in the menus, and in the gameplay. It is so severe, it not only affects the experience of viewing the game, but it affects the camera position - so that Ezio/Desmond move erratically...
The game is fully updated, the necessary software updates installed, hardware demands met, and I even started a fresh save.
Nothing resolves the issue, but otherwise the game runs smoothly (no crashes, error codes, or even significant frame drops) - yet this persisting bug makes it unplayable.

My laptop model is Lenovo Ideapad 3 15IML05. Latest available Windows 10 64-bit. Intel Core i5 10th gen. Nvidia GeForce MX330 & Intel(R) UHD Graphics.

One thing to check is that the game is using the dedicated GPU on your system, if you haven't already, which you can do through the steps in the guide here
