Since Anno 1800 launched I have been experiencing countless crashes. Some to desktop, some causing a blue screen. Some freeze up the computer and while I can tab in and out of Anno, I cannot manually close the program - have to hard restart the computer. This reminds me of the memory leak issue from Anno 1404.

Games tend to crash more the longer I play into them. Like around investor level. Some days I can play for 2-4 hours with no problems; other days the program crashes every 15 minutes. I have tried lowering graphic settings, kept my graphic drivers current, switching between DirectX 11 and 12.

I don't think it's my hardware because nothing else really crashes my computer hardly ever, except Anno. I think my hardware requirements should be able to play the game.

OS: Windows 10 Home
Processor: Intel i7-7700K @ 4.20 GHz
Video: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080 Ti (11 GB of VRAM)
DirectX: DirectX 11 or DirectX 12
Memory: 16 GB RAM

Any suggestions on what's going on?

What does crash the game nearly every time = expeditions. Whenever I start one, assign a ship, and start scrolling through the various folks to assign to the ship, the music will skip after about 30-60 seconds and the screen will freeze. Most times I can ctl-alt-del and manually close Anno 1800, but at times it will freeze up the whole computer and I have to do a hard restart.
Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad o hear that things have improved for you. Out of curiosity, are you playing on Epic, Steam or Uplay?
