ISSUE:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (Version 1903, Build 18362.10014). AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU @4.3 GHz (8/16 CPUs). 16MB RAM. NVidia ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX1060 6GB VRAM
Running Win10 as "Standard User" with Admin access. Running UPlay as admin. Running Anno as Admin. UPlay App Cloud Save enabled. Windows "OnDrive" turned off. Have currently over 300 games installed on this gaming PC over several hard drives. No save files/folder issues with other games. Equally, current 10+ Ubisoft/UPlay+ games all installed and work as intended
1. Game is online (in-game green Online Status Bar "Matchmaking available", "NAT status open") manual saves nor cloud save, nor autosaving works. Game offers warning notification "Game Failed to Save".
2. Anno Firewall outgoing exceptions missing. I had to manually add
Anno1800.exe
Anno1800_plus.exe
to the outgoing FW. Incoming had Anno executables registered. No 3rd Party AV running, just the Win10 OS default firewall. Denuvo and EasyAntiCheat all working.
3. Unless Anno 1800 is creating save folders in a completely obscure place, I cannot find the ANNO 1800 savegame (Adminstrator nor Standard User folders) in:
C:\Users\\Documents\... (Standard user, nor Administrator)
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Ubisoft
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Ubisoft
C:\Users\\Saved Games
… Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\\
This seems to be an Windows OS UAC issue, where the initial Anno1800 start scripts failed to create a user savegame folder, despite running as Administrator with full read/write access. The curious thing about this is that ALL OTHER games on the same harddrives/OS seem to have managed to do this (incl. currently installed Ubisoft titles)
I installed, uninstalled, rebooted and re-installed ANNO 1800 UPlay+ … still the same issue remains.
My Windows 10 Pro OS version is the latest from the Windows 10 Preview Slow-Ring build.
Can anyone reproduce this issue?
Thanks!
