I don't think I've seen any discussion of it, but can we take a moment to talk about how great the UI is? Clean, compact, clear, and most importantly, leaves the vast majority of the screen uncluttered so you can appreciate the beautiful environments. The bottom right section displaying weapons (with the secondary weapon layered slightly behind the active weapon, and the right and left bumper abilities displayed in a faint echo of the button layout on the controller itself) is a fantastic example of intuitive design.

The menu, map, matchmaking, and mission selection screen look excellent as well.

The only part I could possibly criticize is the directional damage indicators, which are a little busy and over-designed (in the way that early art often is before getting a gameplay pass), but I suspect that'll look different in the final game.

Overall, just really excellent work on a part of the game that usually only gets noticed when it's done badly.

Hi, quick question. Does the map start off as black and slowly get uncovered as you explore?

The Map will start shrouded in fog of war. source!

The customized UI system from SWTOR was one of my all time favorite in-game ui. Velrek did you happen to work on that?

I really enjoyed their UI as well, but it was before my time at BioWare.
