Hi, heirloom shards aren't cumulative, it's still something that can drop randomly with a low chance, or is guaranteed after 500 pack openings.
Unfortunately there isn't a way to directly see your progress towards this 500 pack guarantee.

I know there's lots of calls for a pack tracker - I'd love it myself - but I hope this helps clear things up.

@sass0frass That absolutely shouldn't happen. If you check your purchase history you can use that/and compare against direct purchases to see how many packs were bought.
