Hi there, @crit357.

I'll try to help find out why you're experiencing so much lag. Can you tell me what troubleshooting you've already done? I'd like to avoid repeating steps. Also, are you using a wired or wireless connection? Thanks!

Would you be able to switch to a wire or is your router too far away?

Also, I'm going to be heading out for a few days shortly here. If you don't get a response, I'd recommend messaging @EAHelp through Twitter or open a case with a live support advisor here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/. You can also go to facebook.com/eahelphub to get in touch with support. They'll help with your connection issues. Thanks!

Can you move your console close enough to be wired just as a test? When you're too far from the router for a wire, that's surely going to cause disconnects and lag.

The biggest reason we see lag and disconnects is due to being on a wireless connection. That's probably the issue here as wireless is the biggest reason for disconnects and lag that we see. Wireless isn't as stable as a wired connection. Especially when the signal has to travel through walls and/or floors. This gets worse when there are other devices sharing the same connection. It's worse still when anyone is streaming media while you're playing. Until you get wired, or at a minimum, closer to the router, this will continue to happen. You can try changing the wireless channel you're using. That may help. Also, you could try opening ports. They are listed here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/.

You also may want to try researching powerline adaptors. Those have been a really good solution for many that are too far from the router for a wired connection.
