Let me start off by saying, that i can most certainly speak for all the players that were counting on achieving their own ranked goal by the end of this ranked split, when i say that these server issues have been unacceptable and unforgiving for this portion of the playerbase. Since the patch update, 70% of my ranked games have been a loss of -96 points due to match abandoned bug, and the other 30% have been with atleast one teammate disconnected paired with a laggy server.
FINE, sh*t happens. You f*cked up Respawn. It's annoying, but i can live with laggy servers for a few days. However, when i can not hit my rank that i have been achieving for the past 3 seasons (master) LITERALLY because i can not play the game, it bothers me. Lets not make this post about me though. My point is, imagine how many players trying to/were counting on hitting gold/plat/diamond, whatever, and could not do it because of your fault.
I feel that you (Respawn) are obliged to extend this ranked split for the amount of days that ranked has been unplayable so all these players can have a fair chance of reaching their ranked goal. Not everyone has the time to grind ranked 10 hours a day when the new split hits and reach your rank goal within 2 weeks. People have jobs, school, etc, and plan to hit their goal rank on a longer timespan. I can also most certainly say that no one will care that the next ranked split will be five days shorter if you choose to extend this ranked split by five days, as you make your timeplan based on the date where the split ends, not so much by the amount of days the split exists.
