As we've discussed previously, if your code was not purchased from a trusted retailer, you'll need to speak with them regarding any issues with the code.

 

We cannot assist with codes purchased from other places. While you redeemed the code, it did not grant the coins because the code was invalid. 

 

There are many reasons a code may not grant the coins, some of which I've listed below. Please review the link for more details. In all of these cases you'll need to speak with the retailer where you purchased the code.


 

Each purchase made from an unauthorized retailer carries risk. Make sure to keep your account and personal information safe.

  • At best, you might get the wrong product or language version of a game you buy.
  • At worst, unauthorized websites may be phishing for your EA Account or payment info. This can result in losing access to your account or fraudulent activity with your payment details.
  • It’s also possible that unauthorized retailers will sell you a fake, used, or stolen CD key or Product Code.
  • Additionally, any illegally obtained games and Product Codes will be disabled by us. That means you won’t be able to play your game or redeem your virtual currencies.
  • EA Advisors won't be able to help you with games you bought from unauthorized retailers or illegally.

Yes, there are many reasons you may be able to claim a code but cannot receive the coins. 

 

Please read the link I provided above.

 

For example, if you were given a code for a different region, while the code may appear to be claimed, you wouldn't be able to receive the coins. 

 

When you purchase codes from third parties, we cannot verify whether you're purchasing a code that's intended for your region, that wasn't previously used already, etc. This is why you'll need to speak with the retailer about a replacement or refund.
