[2020] Apex Legends locks at 7 FPS and then runs smoothly

Hey @DogtorFirulais.

It's definitely odd that it would work normally sometimes, but then get locked at such a low FPS other times. 

When you have a chance would you mind sharing a DxDiag so we can take a look? You can find more details on how to pull up the file over at the EA Help website. Once you have the text file please attach it to this thread.

Looking at the Diagnostics section in the DxDiag you attached it looks like there might be some issues with the Xbox Gaming Overlay. Can you try disabling this to see if that makes any difference at all? 

To turn off the Xbox Game Bar follow the steps below: 

1. Go to your Windows Settings and click Gaming

2. Click Game Bar

3. Click the toggle button below Record clips, Screenshots, and broadcast using Game Bar so that it's set to Off
