On Testlive there’s the part that could affect normal constructions, which is fence foundations in a cross.
Here are some screenshots that showcase what we mean by cross formation (excuse my fantastic Paint skills):
fence%20no2
For what matters, this other formation will not be possible since it relies on the same socket. To the best of our knowledge, this placement rule is also on Testlive:

fence no3.png877×538 421 KB

The rest of the fix targets overlapping pieces. It is not available on Testlive to test, but it’s easy to explain. Basically, two pieces into each other looking like one. No need of a screenshot.
The pieces that could bring some destruction are the ones we shared screenshots above and that are available on Testlive right now.

There’s no mention anywhere of vaults or underwater structures being affected. So no, they’re not targeted.

This is one of the main applications we’ve seen of this extra socket in fence foundations and it caused a lot of troubles regarding performance. Which is why it made it also very useful in defense situations. Apologies for the destruction, but we had to do something about it.

Token timers will not be able to be cheesed either once the next patch hits live. You can check the full patch notes here.

Exactly.

That is not what it’s going to happen. Please check the announcement here.

Yup.

You can check them out here.

On PC and Xbox (with a keyboard plugged) you can destroy a cluster of pieces as an admin by aiming in their general direction and press Shift + Delete, or Ctrl + Shift + Del for increased radius. You can also look at one of the pieces, open the console command and type in BuildingIdentify. Then write down the building ID listed in the input console and type in BuildingDestroy , where is the number you got from the previous command.

Those will remain until used or some enemy clan comes take care of them.

Our team has been considering adding some extra admin tools to PS4 players, either enabling keyboard support like in Xbox or any other solution that could give admins on that platform those extra tools available in other platforms. We’re still in early stages of that conversation, though, as we’re currently focused on adding fixes to the game.

Once the patch hits live on Monday, it’s highly likely we won’t enable Gods straight away, but offer a time buffer so people can prepare accordingly (one or two days). This way, hopefully, you’ll have a couple of days to get your defenses up and target any potential threats until Ragnarok day comes

That is not an overlapping structure. This is:

overlapp.jpg1251×905 181 KB
Please note that there’s more than one piece in that ceiling. This is what you’d get on normal circumstances:
overlapp2.jpg1235×945 283 KB

As @Mikey pointed out, that’s legal. This would be the illegal version tackled with the patch:

crossing.jpg919×502 96.6 KB
In this case, the fence foundations that are going through the normal foundations will be nuked. Stability shouldn’t be affected in most cases since the stability would rely on the remaining pieces.

We’re discussing it right now, and it’s most likely going to be deployed tomorrow on PC and during the week on consoles. Certification is still undergoing in both console platforms, so we most likely will use this opportunity to add in a couple extra fixes into the PC patch and make it go through a few extra QA passes to ensure it releases in tip-top shape

It’s official.
We’ve rescheduled the patch to go out during this week. 48h activation buffer also confirmed for avatar summoning, meaning you will have a couple of days to get your defenses up once the patch hits your platform.
You can read about it in the official announcement here:

There’s a high chance the bubble will disappear since it’s one of the mechanics tweaked with this patch. We would’t recommend relying on that, but you can try at your own risk.

Yes and no. It’s not overlapping per se, but it will be affected with the new fence foundation placement rules. Note that you’re using the middle socket in those fences, which is going to be removed with this next patch.

over 5 years ago - Ignasis - Direct link

That’s right. And as a result, once the patch hits live, any fence foundation snapped in that middle socket will get nuked (situation #2 mentioned in the announcement).

That double layering present in that picture won’t be available either, as it most likely seems to rely on that same middle socket.

In that case it seems to be an edge scenario and only checking it out when the patch releases would give a final answer on it, I’m afraid.

Not that I’m aware of.

That message was written yesterday, so tomorrow is today.
Now that’s getting confusing…

Patch is out on PC.

Consoles are pending final certification and should be out during the week.
We’ll continue answering questions on this thread during this week.

God bubbles should be 36 hours. On that note, we’re reenabling gods tomorrow.

over 5 years ago - Ignasis - Direct link

Please note that gods won’t be enabled on consoles until 2 days after the patch is released on each respective platform. On PC, the bubble shouldn’t disappear on server restart anymore.

Hey @krampus
With that amount of information no, we cannot explain this. Have you checked your event log to see what caused it?
