tears of the kingdom is currently giving me the same treatment scribblenauts used to ie. puzzles with endless creative solutions forcing me to face the fact that maybe i'm not as imaginative as i'd like to think

Cookie Clicker v.2.052 is up live on browsers!

the Steam version will be updated to match within the next couple days! we’ll be resuming progress on the Android app afterwards
@Mossworm1 luvly!
hey it turns out our ad provider enabled some auto-optimization setting without telling us which resulted in awful banner ads showing up on 50% of people's pages! while higher-revenue, most of our stuff really doesn't flow well with this type of ad so we've turned it off. thank u
god
the truth about all game development is: AAA: Beaurcracy makes it hard to do anything so the game isn't getting updated Indie: Jeff got depressed so the game didn't get a patch in 6 months, but now he's too embarrassed to come back so the game isn't getting updated
one of those days i'll come on here and pitch a social website idea and someone will come along and reply "so blogs?" and my answer will be yes exactly
dumbass spotted 😳😳😳 "certified evolution nerd" t-shirt revoked
i feel dumb but who was going to tell me cetaceans have actually completely lost their hind limbs and did not, in fact, evolve their tails out of their legs like pinnipeds did
Something like I find very cool about the evolution of whales is that, if you look at all the fossil species together and arrange them in a gradient, sure. You’ll focus on things like the nares moving upwards and how the whole process happened. But individually? It’s bonkers.
we're experiencing an indie gold rush right now. devs are scrambling to exploit every possible combination of every trending genre. space colony kitchen survival. water-based city builder horde mode survival. caveman monster crafting survival puzzle sailing sim. with wizards
psst! i've updated the Cookie Clicker web beta one last time before live release. in addition to adding full translations, we're now using a cdn to load most of the assets. please let me know if anything breaks or shows up weird!
@cee_three3 we do what we can
tempted to switch over to chatgpt as language tutor tbh
months later and the duolingo update still has not recovered any sense of meaningful progression. it wouldn't be so bad if it didn't enforce lesson linearity. i'm getting this on a 560-day streak. this is maybe a day 3 exercise. it means "it is the carrot" btw
@kevinbparry: Cheese 🧀
a tragedy of game development is that isometric tiles make for much more interesting visuals than head-on tiles but they also make tile-based WASD navigation in narrow spaces so much more annoying
what are some books, movies or games that match the description "Genre: All"
you can do this as a solo dev too if you really hate yourself
would sincerely rather die in my sleep than wake up and realize i've been checkmarked
