Are you 100% sure you did this step? That really should have done it.

If so, DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

Guess I'll have to wait for a patch...
Did you do the clean reinstall mentioned above?

If so, can you provide the files I asked for please?

HelpMeWithFleetBug said: I am also having the same problem, the log indicates it is a problem with the dlc music text file:
Heya, looking through the logs, it looks like you are trying to launch an older version of the game (1.4.4) with Royal Court DLC enabled. This is not possible, because Royal Court is only supported from update 1.5 and forward.

Please disable Royal Court DLC in the launcher, or switch to the latest version of the game.

@rstil2 @Cordann Please create a seperate thread and we will investigate you issues. Could you also upload your crash, dumps and expections folder in "/Documents/Crusader Kings III"?

PiotrB said: Hello,

I encountered a problem with a game launch after Royal Court DLC update. After starting the game using launcher or .exe file the application crashes and suggest me sending a crash report to Paradox.

I have tested your suggested list, but none of below tips worked:

---------------------
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test
---------------------

Beside all of this I also tried:

- Reverting to 1.44 version and switching off/on Royal Court DLC
- Installed the newest graphic drivers
- Run CK3.exe as an administrator and with compatibility settings
- Unsubscribed all mods from steam workshop permanently
- Updated Windows 10 and DirectX to the newest state
- Reinstalling Paradox Launcher

Please help me with this problem, CK3 on 1.44 run very well on the same settings, I am really frustrated.

Heya PiotrB,

I know you fixed your issue already, but could you also follow the above instructions and upload your Crashes, Dumps and Exceptions folder so that we can investigate and solve this issue? :D
