Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.

Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

IF that doesn't help please attach new copies of all those files, plus
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

CK3 is of course not incompatible with Win10 or 11 - that's what it is developed on!

I've seen that recently with a number of games, not sure what causes it - hardware, video driver, or what. What actual rate are you seeing? If it's more than 60 can you cap it with some other utility?

@jpd any ideas on this one? His CPU is 10th gen, so not subject to that possible ongoing issue with later ones.

Used to report what in those ranges, sorry?

Please install and run the free utility Speccy. Send its output to a text file and attach that here, thanks.

I see you have Norton AV; while that in general out not to be a problem once the game has started, do make sure ck3.exe is in all its exceptions lists.

Stop Nahamic from loading at boot time then reboot.

Unload GeForce Experience before starting the game.

I don't know what all those ASUS utilities do; if any of them do overclocking (or indeed if you have any overclocking at all from any source!) please disable it.

I'm not a Windows support expert I'm sorry, nor do I use Nortons. I'll do my best but you may need local help, it seems.

Contact Norton support for how to except a .exe in their software, and indeed how to prevent it doing realtime scans of the game's folders
Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3

To unload GeForce Experience you right click on it in your task bar and select Quit or Exit.

Norton's were able to help you, were they?

But yes, I'd test for any progress by starting a new campaign. If you still get this problem, can you be more specific about what event in the game you feel is causing this? A screenshot then maybe?

Once you do that please attach here the problem save file, thanks.

Thanks for those files, but I asked for the actual save game file so we can see if it happens here too.
