[2021] Help - This save was created with a different version of Crusader Kings

From what you say the likelihood is that the game crashed while writing out the save file, so it's probably corrupted and irrecoverable.

However go you Documents/paradox/ck3/ - if there is a last_save.ck3 in there that may still be loadable.
