[2020] Multiplayer issues and observations

The problem is in the back end servers, not the game, so no patch could fix it.

They are still working on it I'm afraid!

I have seen reports that using a VPN helps - can you try that?  

It is certainly being vigorously investigated , although not during the present winter break. I expect work to restart by mid January.

Did you try a VPN? That seems to be the most reliable workaround.
