Does your Mac only have an Intel video system? If so that's the problem, as that is not supported hardware for this game under MacOS, and 1.6.x is apparently fussier in needing hardware to meet spec.

If that is the situation you can revert to 1.5.1.1 in the Steam betas tab to keep playing, or if you have Apple Bootcamp installed play under Windows there. Otherwise you'll need to play on any other machine you have access to that meets the game's requirements.

Sorry about that!

There was, as I mentioned above

I'm not sure if you are saying Bootcamp itself is not working, or it is but the game won't install or run in it. If the latter let me know and I'll try and help with that.

Note that'd you'd need to buy the game again to get it on Xbox. DLCs will come along, but they'll always be later than on Steam/PC. There will never be mods on consoles I'm afraid - possible cosmetic assets (as we see with CSL) but never mods that change gameplay.
