This sounds unconventional, but could you try disabling ‘Portrait Rendering’ via the ‘Settings’ → ‘Interface’ menu and see if that reduces the rate at which you error?

For experimental purposes, are you able to connect your PC to a mobile hotspot?

Only for a short period, to see if the issue persists. This can help in isolating the issue, but I understand it isn’t always an option.
