Ooh cool, a sound thread!

The behemoth vocalisations have been the most challenging and rewarding part of the sound design. I've tried hard to make each of them unique and identifiable. Each of them have fun stories behind their creation...

For Shrowd I trained crows to come to my balcony for food and then recorded them. This ended up only being the start though and I built a pretty crazy system where you can essentially perform Shrowd noises with your voice.

For pangar I recorded all his vocalisations twice, once with my voice and once with... a kazoo. Then did some morphing of the two together. That was a fun one and I love the final roars.

I think for rezakiri I used an instrument called a frog drum, to create the weird clicking sound. I tend to use a lot of toys and children's instruments. I think that was one of the ones I recently remastered to improve in the next big update (although that may have been kharabak!).
