The lead single from Talking Heads' fourth studio album, Once in a Lifetime, contains not one but TWO instances of "rocks and stones" and yet I haven't found even one smidget of attempt to parody it (with love of course) to transform it into a profound reflection of a greybeard dwarf on how the mining work never ends.

I'm not much for songwriting so any help is appreciated, but here's my take:

[Verse 1]

And you may find yourself living in a orbital rig

And you may find yourself in a rich and dangerous world

And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large drill-mobile

And you may find yourself in a beautiful drop-pod, with a beautiful M.U.L.E

And you may ask yourself, “Well… how did I get here?”

[Chorus]

Letting the bugs go by, I won't let them hold me down

Letting the bugs go by, morkite flowing underground

Into the depths again after the money’s gone

Once in a lifetime, morkite flowing underground

[Verse 2]

And you may ask yourself, “How do I work this?”

And you may ask yourself, “Who's protecting the dozer?”

And you may tell yourself, “This is not my beautiful drop-pod”

And you may tell yourself, “This is not my beautiful M.U.L.E”

[Chorus]

Letting the bugs go by, I won't let them hold me down

Letting the bugs go by, morkite flowing underground

Into the depths again after the money’s gone

Once in a lifetime, morkite flowing underground

[Bridge]

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was

[Verse 3]

Morkite mining and morkite extractin'

There is gold at the centre of Hoxxes

Dig out the gold, carry the gold

Mine out the gold from the depths of Hoxxes

Morkite mining and morkite extractin'

[Chorus]

Letting the bugs go by, I won't let them hold me down

Letting the bugs go by, morkite flowing underground

Into the depths again, into the silent dark

Under the rocks and stones, there is gold underground

Letting the bugs go by, I won't let them hold me down

Letting the bugs go by, morkite flowing underground

Into the depths again after the money’s gone

Once in a lifetime, morkite flowing underground

[Verse 4]

You may ask yourself, “Where is the goddamn drop-pod?”

You may ask yourself, “Where does that tunnel go to?”

And you may ask yourself, “Am I right? Am I wrong?”

And you may say to yourself, “For Karl! Rock and Stone!”

[Outro]

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was

Same as it ever was and look where my hand was

Time isn’t holding up, the pod'll leave without us

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was

Letting the days go by, same as it ever was

We hear the comms, here comes another swarm

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was (Letting the bugs go by)

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was (Letting the bugs go by)

Once in a lifetime, let a strong beer hold me down

Letting the bugs go by, morkite flowing underground

And there you go, surely more things can be changed in more creative and better sounding ways than I did, but I wanted to put the idea out for you guys to tinker with. Also I'm killing time while waiting for the DD reset lol. Rock and Stone!

Also, I'm ignoring all reports on this, since Talking Heads is the sh*t.
