[2021] Has there been any dev reply on the Hardened Drill Tips mod issues?

For those who don't know, One of he first three perks of drillers Reinforced power drills has an odd technical limitation preventing it from working properly: Hardened drill tips, which is supposed to increase your drilling speed.

What it does mechanically is increase the speed at which they break the stone, but have no affect on movement, which causes them to clear rock faster than you can move, which ends up as wasted time/fuel.

in the long run, it provides only mere seconds shaved off of long tunnels, (appx 2-3 meters more per overheat than the other mod options in tier 1) and while a net gain in speed it really isn't worth it compared to extra fuel on pyro builds and more damage on cryo builds.

This is honestly only a minor nitpick in the long run, the devs have gone above and beyond with this game, just wanted to know if they were aware the issue exists or not.
