So I just learned that Coffee Stain made Valheim, Satisfactory AND DRG and that inspired me to write a little about my experience with DRG (the one I've played the most, so far).

I was already completely blown away by DRG before the most recent major update. I'm 31 and DRG is easily one of the best gaming purchases I have ever made.

Beyond the interesting design and gameplay, I deeply appreciate the lack of predatory monetization. I wish I could fully explain what I mean by this... To put it one way, it's obvious to me they created this game while respecting the player's time and money without compromising. I can't say the same for way, way too many other games.

For example it kinda stresses me out to see games like Smite sell skins for the equivalent of 20 or more dollars EACH. It being free to play I think is just a very convenient excuse for the absolutely ridiculous pricing, not to mention most ppl pay $30 for the god pack to begin with. Annyywayy..

I even considered sending the devs a fan letter, which I have never done before.

Unbelievable.

EDIT: It seems Coffee Stain publishes DRG for Ghost Ship Games, my bad! Both are clearly awesome.

Coffee Stain had no involvement with DRGs development, this is wrong

That's actually not entirely true. Coffee Stain has been great at both giving feedback and suggestions to the game, so while Ghost Ship Games are the developers, Coffee Stain has been a great and helpful partner in getting Deep Rock Galactic to where it is today.
