Mr Mission Control ( Robert is voicing him, I'll name the dwarf Robby until official canon/ lore says otherwise ) dwarf isnt that bad of a guy really. After listening to all his dialogue, he seems to care for our fellow dwarfs of all classes, making it back with as little harm as possible. Thoooough he does get a bit frustrated of some of the dwarf bois behaviour. He also might be grumpy due to his bland kind of work. We get to have dangerous, hardy and sometimes fun work in caves and tunnels murdering bugs. Hes just sits up there some levels above us, making sure Management is pleased and we do our jobs along with giving us information on how to do it best.
Also, even if he COULD make life easier for us, well... he got many of not at least on GIANT thumb pressed upon him by higher up Management. The top hat dwarfs says " Make it happen ! " to him and he gives a similar " march " order to us on the floor... and in the caves. Strict rules, strict business.
Why do you think Mission Control is a dwarf?
His portrait is pretty stout, with the same double chin that the players have. He never refers to the players as dwarves in a way that implies he isn't one, e.g. "Show them you're dwarves", if anything it sounds like he's stoking some pride in also being a dwarf, though it's a bit ambiguous. The miners never refer to him as anything other than "that guy mission control" so there are no hints there. Ultimately while he is neither explicitly a dwarf or a human(or anything else) he has a couple more clues that make him seem like a dwarf.
Also, I am aware of who I'm talking to.
I’m not saying he isn’t, but it’s heavily implied that Deep Rock Galactic is a mining company hiring dwarves to dig for them, which makes Mission Control anything but a dwarf. I don’t know if that’s canon, but it is implied that the dwarves are hired to do the dirty work, and he’s not out there digging. Also, he lacks the accent and that headset won’t fit those massive ears.
