After making infrastructure updates that enabled the relatively smooth launches of Lightfall and Root of Nightmares, we’ve identified some issues that we’re working to correct for a more stable gameplay experience long-term.

Fixing Claims issues is a top priority and must be done carefully to avoid creating new issues or more instability. This will be an ongoing priority over the next two Seasons.

A recently discovered issue impacting Claims recovery after a disruption can require a full restart of Destiny 2 services: (Cont'd)

Our Claims service is responsible for routing a huge amount of info to other services, including every kill, orb, and unit of Glimmer in the game. Unexpected disruptions to Claims in the live game can occur as one of the causes behind Weasel, Baboon, or other error codes.

@deeronmicdoe @DestinyTheGame We have a thread over on this account, but short answer: yes. Anything on this level is highly delicate (one wrong move and BOOM) and very complex. Getting the message out right over fast is our priority.
