PCG: Will you be bringing back more Year One Legendary gear and armour to bulk out the loot pool?

Deej: Don’t need to.

Well I, and I believe many others, think differently. I lost count of the posts here that asked for their Year 1 gear to get random rolls/perks. All these sets look just too good to get left behind. I don't wanna put myself in a disadvantage to look good.

I didn't grind my ass off for all those Faction Rally, IB, Trials, Solstice and all the other armor sets (and ornaments!) just for them to become useless in Forsaken. You could have at least transfered the ornaments to their respective sets. Like there's literally no reason to not do that, except to piss the players off who grinded for them.

//Edit1: to make that clear - even IF there is a huge upgrade to the loot pool with future updates (which I don't believe), Year 1 gear can't get left behind anyway. Fashion is the only actual endgame in Destiny, so you need to make that a consistent feature of the game, instead of making all our gear useless at some point. The loot pool should ALWAYS only be EXPANDED, never reduced or reset.

//Edit2: you can all chill out now guys and stop blaming Deej, read his response in the comments first.

//Edit3: Gallery of all the glorious Year 1 armor (sent to me by u/ReadyAimHIDE) <--- look at, for example, the Trials sets and tell me again Forsaken looks better than Year 1. Sure D1 armor might still be better than all the D2 armor overall, but D2Y1 was a lot better than Y2 at least.

//Edit4: searched for "transmog" in this thread and got 21 hits so far. This should be very high up on your ToDo list Bungie.

Hey there. Sorry if I made you mad. Certainly not my intention. Not my best answer from what was a long day of questions.

Like I said, I’ll pass along your desire for Year One armor to our character artists. That’s how I behave with a clearer head.
