We're headed back to the Dreadnaught, and we're bringing a world artist and an activity designer along for the ride.

Our Fireteam will embark on a walking architectural tour of the "inscrutable loot-filled fortress" that was the setting for your adventures in Destiny: The Taken King. Senior Artist Andrew Hopps will explain how we turned conceptual visions into playable space. Senior Designer Brian Frank will share some details for how we filled those spaces with danger and treasure worthy of heroes.

You're invited to join us by way of Twitch:

Dreadnaught Ride Along
Wednesday, March 2nd
11AM Pacific

The Dreadnaught is a place of mystery and secrets. Join us as some of those secrets are revealed and we unravel the mysteries of how we make the games you play.

The Taken are not likely to cooperate with our developer commentary expedition, so expect some gunfire, too!

Next Week

Now that the sights of Destiny have been explored more in depth, the Audio Team steps into the studio to discuss what goes into crafting the sounds of Destiny. Composers, audio effects folks, maybe even some voice actors! Stream date, time, and other details coming in a Bungie blog post soonTM.

All discussion during the stream should remain in this thread. A post-stream thread will be made for full-context discussion. Due to the low comment volume, this post will work fine for post-stream discussion as well.

I find it interesting to see the game through the designer's eyes.
And I LOVE concept art.

Understanding the thought process and design decisions behind games was fascinating to me growing up. We were excited to pass along what we've done here and I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
