It's a not yet. Other, more animal-friendly, methods of acquiring their precious goods would follow with animal husbandry in the future. Until then you might even occur an animal to suddenly drop milk on kill for new food recipes *g*
The idea of something dropping a bucket of milk when you kill them is somehow hilarious.
How else could we do cheese without animal husbandry? :D
