Update 10.0 is not even currently in active development. There will be at least 9.4 and 9.5 before.

I really can't participate in that, english is not my native language and 'few' is - literally translated to my mother language - less than a 'couple' for me. In any case, as always it releases when QA is happy enough with it and we won't make QA unhappy by telling them to not be happy due to a few / serveral / couple weeks announcement.

Couple technically really means 2.

Couple is used when referring to two things, as in "a couple of days ago," whereas few and several are less specific. Few means "not many but some," as in "The train leaves in a few minutes," and several denotes more than the words couple and few do but implies lesser than the word many does.
I wasn't teached that and the Oxford dictionary I have here does not support that thesis either. It's similar to german where "paar" (literal translation of couple) means two specifically in specific cases where context shows that clearly or several, but more than 'few'. Like einige (couple) vs. wenige (few) where 'wenige' is less than 'einige'.

It doesn't matter in the end, we meant several.

That does not apply to me either. It also makes no sense, as up to 8 weeks still isn't two months that consist of more than 8 weeks. That's why up to 8 weeks would be few to me, with couple going beyond that. Several being unspecified.

Takeaway is: Never use any of these words and don't give any ETAs, so noone can misunderstand you as he has a different meaning for the words ;)

In this day and age the level of impatience in today's society is out of this world.

So yeah I would think companies would employ the it will get here when it gets here motto.

Because God knows there's setbacks and the release is delayed you got a verbal riot on your hands lol. I was just trying to defuse the confusion by explaining several reinsert a bit of patience into the thoughts and it turned into a totally different debate which was really not my intention.

But i think my native french is a culprit because french language is an over descriptive language and probably why it's one of the hardest languages to learn. Went to french school all my life and I'm still better in english than french.
I learned french in school and forgot everything two years later, as I never needed it again. :D

I agree for a handful, not for the rest.

How about: It's done when it's done™ :D (It shouldn't be too much longer)
