Hi, i been wanting to play this game with some friend for a while now and befor i buy it on steam i got a couple questions about the linux compatibility
1) Does this game run using proton?, is there any known issu running it this way?
2) if i buy the game on steam, when the native client is released will i be able to use it without paying again for the game?

External link →I'd do a search of the subreddit for that info. Probably only u/SLG-Dennis can answer your questions, but I believe the answer is its not built for Linux atm so it's at your own risk, and while they hope to make it Linux compatible in the future it's not promised at all
That is mostly correct. Eco does not officially support Linux nor Mac and it's not included in any purchase, but a early development versions for both are provided both on our website and on Steam for existing customers.
