I'm playing single player & trying to learn what is going on. Love the graphics, the game feel, but I have to say, two days in & I'm frustrated and that will turn me off from a game quicker than lightening. I've dug & dug in the dessert looking for iron ore & no luck. IMO, it shouldn't be this hard and from what I've read from others, they seem to have the same issues.
If anyone has any tips besides "it's there, keep digging" I'm all ears & maybe I will give it another stab. TIA

Has anyone else on the server found iron ore in the desert part?(it can spawn in other biomes, but desert is supposed to be superrich)
You should ask the admin to help dig a little to look for it. it really should not be hard to find iron ore in the desert.. 20-30 blocks down from the surface there should be a 4-5 high belt going almost through the entire desert area..
We haven't gotten a single world reported yet where there was no or too little ore, from all the reports. It's indeed just finding it.
I didn't mean to imply it wasn't there at all, but that some were having a hard time finding it, even 40-50 blocks down.

That, as far as our investigation goes, isn't the case. Any world sent to us with difficulties and where people thought there is no ore, had ore and enough of it.
You can still send us such worlds, we take a look at if there is ore, but you can also make a backup and go with the removeallbut commands or just level.
