I checked it out after a recommendation from a couple friends and I think I'll buy it at some point but I just don't want to pay the full price of $30 +Tax just to have it go on sale in a week.

Just wondering whether it ever goes on sale or not because I know some games like Rimworld have never and won't ever go on sale as the dev has stated it publicly.

Eco does take part in the the major Steam sales with a maximum discount of 15% that we will not surpass during Early Access. The next major one would probably be spring sale sometime in May.

I think I saw Eco on sale for Earth Day if I recall correctly, not sure. As for Rimworld, that's a common myth about the sale. Tynan has stated a few times that sales come once and a while, about 10% so nothing crazy, but every so often I see it go on sale.

Also if you haven't bought Rimworld, buy it. Full price. Double price. Doesn't matter.

Well Rimworld to my knowledge did not do sales during EA and that's what was stated.

do you guys get more money if we buy it directly off your website?

Yes, the 30% "steam tax" does not apply there.
