[2021] Performance degrading over time

The issue is constantly under investigation but seems caused by a multitude of cascading stuff that is impossible to fix in a short time, the hardest part being to find out what parts are actually causing it. We constantly develop debug tools to find more possible causes of it and fix those one by one, but this will likely take quite a few more months to be fixed.
