Dear Humans:human: and Elves :elf:,

While designing the Spire Skill Value feature we announced with our latest Blogpost last year, we've tried a lot of different systems to make it work, as it is quite tricky to find something complex enough to do the job, yet simple enough to be understood and implemented. In the end, we went with a solution which is based on "surviving squads". This approach had a lot of upsides against other ideas we tried, but we still have one big problem to solve: the Twilight Phoenix's pet effect. ‍

As you might know, this effect heals units after every battle. With a Twilight Phoenix at stage 10, this effect corresponds to 5%, and currently, "healing" includes resurrecting dead units too. This way, you could avoid having any dead squads in your entire Spire run using just 1 Pet Food. As you can imagine, this clashes with the design of the Spire Skill Value, which is counting your dead squads.

So, with that in mind, we would like to adjust the Twilight Phoenix's effect so it doesn't apply to dead units anymore - just like a doctor, who also can't revive the dead, the Phoenix would only heal wounded units. But to compensate for that "debuff", we will double its effect power - wounded units will be healed by up to 10% instead of 5% on max level.

We are aiming for this approach because we see that most units the Twilight Phoenix currently heals are indeed "only" wounded and not dead. Also, by doubling the effect power, we expect that even without healing dead squads, more units will be healed after the change than before. Having said that, your experiences as well as your expectations of this effect might be different from our internal data and average numbers, so to speak.
So we want to ask: in your experience, would doubling the Twilight Phoenix's effect for healing units but not reviving them, be a positive change?

Let us know your feedback and thoughts on our feedback thread.

Kind regards,
Your Elvenar Team
