208s that's mainly because as many of you
210s guys do know we are working on the
212s summer update and the summer update is
215s going to bring with it new factions a
217s new system new content like lots of new
220s things and um
222s as they're getting worked on we can't
224s just like immediately show you what that
226s looks like there we go we have a pacing
229s uh style when we are going to reveal
231s these elements simply put they're not
233s ready to show so instead we're going to
236s cover a couple of elements that keep
237s getting fine-tuned and tweaked one of
240s which i'm very happy with so let's go
242s ahead and uh let's dive into that
245s because uh
246s it's important to me i think it's
247s important for a lot of you guys
249s and this is going to be the crafting
251s again again with the crafting oh my gosh
255s but it's important
256s so um we are also picking up a different
258s save as well to highlight a couple other
260s elements and namely some um
263s gmb updates to their ships as well as a
267s couple turrets which we'll get into
268s through the save
270s what else
271s we have oh yeah some settings
272s adjustments that we've also plugged in
275s just lots of lots of little things lots
278s of little things that we will be
279s covering so uh thank you for joining us
282s along for the ride today we also want to
284s make sure that the emphasis in these
286s streams isn't just about highlighting
288s upcoming things of course it's also
289s highlighting

298s everspace 2 but you know if you if you

308s cool so let's get into crafting and then
310s talk about all of these things all these

314s nuances and subtleties that are going on
316s so uh first things first these little
319s yellow things i i can't remember if you
321s got them in the update or not just
322s basically shows you if you got something
323s new you hover over it it's gone now this
325s stuff
326s this stuff is all kind of getting work

329s let's talk about these things these
331s little yellow indicators mean that we
334s are tracking like uh
336s to be able to build a component or a
338s catalyst so for in this example we want
341s to build this high risk or high risk
343s this high capacity catalyst that's our
345s goal so uh we hit this track missing
347s components thing and now it's tracking
349s them all you guys saw that last week
350s you're like yeah yeah no i totally
352s understand but the greens the greens you
354s know you've got your perks right you're
356s trying to level them up i want my my
358s tractor beam up i want to get my energy
360s orbs i want to get my mining tracker
363s that's now been adjusted for a hive
365s and in order to do that um we have to
368s get those resources that are marked in
369s green
371s if you can't remember why they're marked
373s in green
375s it shows you now
377s it shows you so if you go into your
378s crafting inventory and you're like
380s mousing over the things it tells you
382s how many you need right there three
385s in order to upgrade that perk that you
388s are tracking so from here we actually
390s know because that indicator all the way
392s in the upper right corner says five we
394s have five of them
395s and the hive mining tracker requires
397s three we can use the crystal diodes in
400s our hive mining tracker

407s done nice that simple

413s yeah just little little quality of life
416s improvements like that for uh crafting
418s in addition to that the crafting has
420s been a bit more organized from the
423s equipment screen itself now this one's
426s going to be
426s uh this is a little bit more nitpicky

429s especially for console players we want
431s to make sure that the crafting process
433s is streamlined so let's talk about this
435s let's let's also uh you know since we're
437s in flight we can also show how you can
439s pull uh plating off and you can put it
441s back on as well
443s but we have this empty plating slot now
445s let's say we want to craft in here right
447s so uh traditionally when you would do
449s this it would take you to the entire
452s crafting scene and you would start the
454s crafting inventory then you have to like
456s go down to modules and then you'd have
457s to you know get to your plating now as
459s you can see everything except for
462s plating is locked
464s because we accessed it through the
466s plating
467s item slot
469s it's so simple
472s and there's some people like really you
474s call this an update i mean listen
476s whenever you're trying to fill the gaps
478s in your build
480s and you have to navigate this
482s this can sometimes be a little bit
484s overwhelming and so we've been going
486s through and we've been ironing out a lot
487s of these
488s accessibility features to make crafting
492s be a convenience to you because
494s the very nature of the crafting
496s experience is to be a convenience
500s it's straight up what it is meant to be
502s so through this process you know uh if
505s we are again crafting the plating it
506s highlights only the plating that we can
508s put together
510s really simple
512s uh you know same thing if it were any
513s other of course as you would expect now
515s it's only the shields right
519s um and it keeps going you know we have
521s the the consumables which aren't
523s available yet it's coming soon but still
526s brings you over there like each one of
527s these slots ts has been hard at work to
530s bring this all together and he's
531s still not done he's still not done he's
534s got a couple more tricks up his sleeve
536s uh we'll be having a play test on how
538s this is being conveyed uh accordingly

543s bring it to fruition from there so so

822s the models themselves have actually been
824s updated so these are distinct
826s gmb fighters from the standard ones
830s and we'll also do some comparisons so
832s that you can see directly like what's
834s changed what's unique
836s but actually given some praise to one of
838s our new guys on the team tim
841s for creating some uh new designs new
844s markups for these ships
846s to give them a bit more personality
850s so that we're not just using the same
851s exact ship over and over and over again
856s pretty happy with the results thus far
858s and again i will compare this with the
860s uh the standard fighters so you can kind

863s uh but there's
864s there's a number of little tweaks and
866s differences
867s subtle changes but make a pretty strong

1016s instead of just straight pulling
1017s something over from ever space one and
1019s incorporating it into everspace two's
1021s game space it's gonna look a little bit
1023s different right a clear example of this
1025s would be like the arc 9000 i know a lot
1027s of you guys love that neverspace one but
1029s it served a very functional purpose and
1032s a roguelike formula to have that one
1034s item you can hang on to that kind of
1035s clears the space for you and everspace 2
1038s we did tie it to an ultimate because if
1040s you're finding arc 9000 items
1043s we're getting sort of a conflict
1045s in this more pseudo open world rpg space
1049s so
1050s with the change of environment also
1052s comes changed to some of those
1053s equipments
1054s the foundation change so we have to
1056s build on top of it in a more unique way
1058s hopefully this all makes
1065s that sense after you talk to blake moore

1155s pin certain locations and when if you

1162s that we are looking to provide will have
1165s up to three unique pins that you can
1167s apply in a single space and again that's
1170s for every single independent location
1172s you go to so those pens will stay there
1174s permanently

1209s a simple one that just allows you to
1210s hide experience numbers right um also
1213s other ones like the fact that we have
1215s amd fsr now we actually included this um
1219s i'd have to change my nvidia dlss off
1222s and then we could turn that on

1228s things oh kind of i'm kind of blocking

1231s can see that we are adding and
1233s incorporating more of these settings um
1236s both have been requested and also you
1238s know we just want to have
1240s more options for you to get your game

1324s as opposed to all your standard ones
1327s uh here's uh you know your missile
1329s launcher variant over here
1336s i think one of these is a laser turret
1339s trying to figure out where it's at
1342s lots of turrets on this uh

1427s right now so i just want to get to the
1428s media stuff have conversations with you
1430s guys and i don't want to have to talk
1432s over these dialogues so we're just going
1433s to pass them to do the next part
1437s including the cutscenes i mean the
1438s cutscenes look even better we're
1440s continuing to polish

1469s by hacking these you should be able to
1470s gain control of the drones and remotely

1476s drones and download all of the data
1483s so how did you end up working for the
1484s commissioner again
1486s still looking for more turrets by the
1487s way
1488s because i think that there's a couple
1490s more that we haven't seen
1492s but regardless you can see that you know
1494s even something as simple as like types
1497s of turrets
1498s we want to refine we want to add a
1500s little bit more variety right um and i
1502s hope that shows you guys just how much
1505s detail we truly want to add into the
1507s aerospace 2 environment because of
1508s course this is just gmb right now
1511s and there's a lot there's a there's a
1513s lot more there's a lot more to come
1515s to account for their actions
1517s so you have a particular grievance with
1520s g and b

1528s in regards to their ships the gmb
1530s fighter that big one that we saw the
1532s elite fighter
1534s um has a particular look
1536s when it's the elites right it has that a
1538s lot of red paint it's got a little a
1541s couple more protrusions from it
1544s but here's just the standard version
1546s which has also been refined just a
1547s little bit more
1552s you can see some differences right off
1554s the bat there's less iconography
1557s on these the elite squad has kind of
1559s like those
1560s sharp dynamic lines painted on the sides
1562s they are not present here they also had
1565s that extension to the wing over here on
1567s the side

1572s more basic on this model as well
1577s but it still has that traditional gmb
1579s red gray white
1581s theme to it
1583s and the turret looks awesome too i i
1585s don't actually know if the turret got
1587s updated or not um but this is it's kind

1591s because i'm not close enough that's kind
1592s of funny looking

1638s but uh regardless pretty happy with how
1641s the models are coming on and the
1642s distinctions made between even if it's a
1644s simple gmb fighter versus a gmb fighter
1647s that's elite versus the elite gmb
1650s fighter squad that sounds a little
1652s confusing but there's three different
1653s fighters there
1655s and we did we now have three different
1657s models for uh each one of those
1660s all right so uh talked a little bit
1663s about that i'm gonna answer a couple
1664s quick questions again
1668s because i know they're still flying in
1671s here
1674s maybe this isn't a big deal but would
1675s there be more options for photo mode
1677s like playing with colors more when in
1679s that mode or just sharpening them uh
1681s it's definitely been something we've
1682s talked about wolf warren
1684s it hasn't been something we felt needed
1686s to be priority right now especially with
1688s the content that we are adding to the
1690s game and
1691s i want to just point out that the
1693s content we're adding
1695s you know it's going through some
1697s balanced testing already internally so
1699s that we can bring it to you for further
1701s balance testing to ensure it's properly
1703s established
1704s um you know like new equipment uh you
1707s know new enemy types stuff like that
1710s without getting into too much
1713s so um
1714s yeah photo mode's just kind of on the
1715s back burner right now but i'm sure that
1718s we would love to tweak that refine it
1720s just a little bit further
1721s along with other things that
1724s aren't necessarily as important to the
1726s gameplay
1728s but could still
1729s just prove to be a nice addition so
1737s will it be possible to keep the music
1739s playing because it's so awesome while
1741s running the game in background uh yes
1743s so actually right now i'm i'm running

1746s um this is this was actually just
1749s recently added i know that you can't
1750s tell but i'm literally i'm not even in
1752s the game right now i'm actually just on
1754s windows blah blah blah doing my own

1757s uh and that is that setting i believe is

1765s what's at the top pause game focus when
1767s uh pause game when focus is lost boom
1770s so i have that disabled
1775s because otherwise if you have it enabled
1777s if i were to uh you know alt alt-tab out
1780s i guess the music's still playing from

1786s sure but regardless
1788s this was this is something that we will
1790s be adding in the summer update i don't
1792s believe it's established in the spring

1816s are you going to implement fsr 2.0 so

2217s you guys are ridiculous
2220s will we be able to fully upgrade all

2226s so for those wondering what that
2227s question kind of means like as of right
2229s now you earn device upgrades every time
2230s you level up the device upgrades can be
2233s applied to many different devices that
2236s you collect along the way but there's
2238s certainly not enough device upgrades to
2240s power up all of them at this time in the
2242s game space
2244s i don't know if we have reached a
2246s conclusion on that front or not i
2247s believe our stance is going to be
2250s not going that direction actually so
2253s that if you want to cycle things around
2255s you will need to reset it by utilizing
2258s the memory recalibrators which are
2260s fairly easy to craft honestly
2263s it's just that one added element where
2265s you do need the crafting ingredients and
2268s if you're looking for the crafting
2269s ingredients of course you can always
2271s head on over to your uh
2274s let's see memory recalibrator and track
2276s the missing resources i don't know why
2278s that's grayed out at the moment there's
2279s probably a bug
2281s but then you can find all the things
2282s that you need plasma pure copper pulver
2284s crystal and pure titanium

3308s death enemies leave behind corrosion
3310s fields when killed gmb allies the
3312s reinforcements are on site that could be
3314s really good strength and death every
3315s time an enemy is destroyed speed shield
3317s armor hole uh increase that's a good one
3321s enemy slowly repair their hole with
3323s enemy regen overheated systems a random
3325s item is overheated for 10 seconds every
3326s 10 seconds
3327s i do want to point out that that is also
3330s further reduced by resistance which we
3331s have little of so we're going to be
3333s impacted by that for almost the full 10
3335s seconds uh
3337s i guess we'll be impacted by about
3339s eight seconds
3341s but still
3342s and then the last one we've got another
3344s jar sensors enemy name types are hidden
3346s uh
3347s i don't want to do that again

3633s different types of energy orbs now

3643s but also some tactical use reasons as

3649s but in short the standard energy orbs
3651s are basically the same they kind of give
3654s you a burst of energy as you probably
3656s expect

3666s the ones that provide alts
3668s and a burst of movement speed

4049s all these are varying catalysts they
4052s mostly as of right now they mostly
4055s simply adjust the prefix of a weapon
4057s some of them also add modifiers
4061s some of them add modifiers
4063s not all of them
4065s uh but we are still uh adding we're
4068s gonna be adding more catalysts in the
4069s future as well um but yeah high-risk
4071s locations are going to be the way to go
4073s acquire them also keep in mind that when
4076s you are gaining signal decoders and
4078s whatnot
4079s and we're going to these locations and
4081s the
4082s mutators can be random you know i know
4084s somebody out there is probably already
4085s thinking like oh my gosh the
4088s the catalysts are locked behind such a
4090s great challenge i'm never gonna be able
4092s to unlock that now now couple things to
4094s keep in mind on this front first off
4096s these are literally completely random
4098s based on the mutators that we're adding
4100s in we don't want them to be
4102s so crazy that it hurts in fact that's
4105s why they show up at different rarities
4107s so if you want it to be so crazy it
4110s hurts and dive into that you can
4112s but if you also want to slow play it you
4115s can just activate your uncommons and
4117s your rares go about your business on
4119s that front you can be incredibly picky
4121s and only do the ones that generate
4122s positive effects and furthermore let's
4125s not forget you can just change the
4128s difficulty on the fly if you really want
4130s to be that type of player you can do
4132s that
4134s you can do that okay
4136s we we have given you these tools
4139s we i mean don't necessarily recommend it
4142s but if you are
4144s seriously struggling you're you know
4145s you're having a hard time in the game
4146s space and you just want to get on to the

6344s but we want to have a mixture of a lot
6346s of different mutators so
6349s and i also want to address one other
6351s thing that i think we we talked about a
6353s little bit
6354s but didn't really expand on maybe as
6356s much as
6357s we could have and that is restrictions
6360s when it comes to high-risk uh mutators
6365s we recognize that opportunities are
6368s abound when it comes to uh limiting what
6371s a player can do what their tools look
6373s like
6374s and you know several of our internal
6376s discussions even before we've gone
6378s through like the bulk of it have already
6380s started indicating that
6383s we want to do maybe less restrictions
6386s and rather more abilities for the
6388s opponent so that way instead of
6390s hindering you for going a certain build
6392s it's more
6394s um
6395s helping you shine if you have a certain
6397s build against certain type of enemies so
6399s kind of like the opposite of it's it's
6401s much more positive on that front as well
6403s but again i just want to just say that
6406s for anybody who just missed it um we
6408s have already started talking about how
6409s we want the emphasis of high-risk area
6412s mutators to be
6415s where they're less restrictive and
6417s they're more giving your opponents a
6419s specialized uh resource or opportunity
6423s that you might be able to overcome if
6425s you have the proper built
6429s so just uh just letting you know what's
6431s going on inside our minds over here at

6434s because we feel like that's a bit more
6436s important than just taking things away
6439s instead we want to say oh hey you you've

6692s but at the end of the day what we really
6695s want to establish is this baseline
6696s factor of playing where we have
6699s the difficulty to be intended which is

6703s if that doesn't feel like enough for you
6705s you boost it on up to very hard really
6707s challenge yourself get creative with
6708s your builds overcome that share it with
6710s other people have fun with it and if it
6712s doesn't feel right even at normal you're
6715s really struggling and again also
