667s here this is the hornet wings
670s as you can see and i know i've already
672s seen some people guess like oh the
673s ultimate's going to activate the third
675s hard point you know it's so obvious nope
678s not even we already have effectively a
680s hardpoint activated by ultimate is
682s reserved for the
683s gunship this is very different and it's
686s much more accessible than you might
688s think but you have to utilize its
691s equipment
692s very well to maximize that third
695s hardpoint okay so uh let's uh crack this
698s open uh just by going to the ship tab
700s and start talking about this so
704s the special let me let me also get my
706s face out of the way there's there's
708s going to be a lot to talk about here and
709s uh i know you want to see the deets
712s so first we have the special
714s this is a device master
718s all of our devices gain plus one to
721s their levels this means their stats are
723s also boosted further

726s using a device powers the additional
729s primary hardpoint for five seconds there

733s so the big idea here is that you've got
735s much stronger devices well maybe not
738s much but you know boosted up we've got
740s level six devices which cannot generally
743s be achieved
745s by standard ships your maximum is five
749s but all three of these are now level six
752s and then to boot
755s when we activate these
757s it activates our third hardpoint so
759s ones that you can affect uh multiple
762s times uh so there is a bug here i'm just
764s gonna straight up mention that right now
766s so just ignore that it gives us a few
768s extras but
770s um
771s when we add additional charges to
772s something and we can use something over
774s and over again that means we get our
776s third hardpoint longer so i'm gonna just
778s uh go ahead and use these three
782s um and that magnetic repulsor is gonna
784s be a huge chain for us to keep our third
787s hardpoint up and in addition to that the
790s expertise that this weapon
793s that this ship has
795s allows the additional hardpoint to last
798s for a longer duration
801s so the expertise allows you to keep
804s using the hardpoint even for longer so
806s if you don't want to chain
809s if you don't want to chain using devices
811s you can just max out your expertise and
813s have it last for a very long time
816s a very long time
819s next up is the ultimate itself
823s this is called void swarm couple people
826s were guessing what that could possibly
828s mean i actually referenced this in my
830s little scrolling marquee a couple weeks
832s back and how outlawz were trying to find
836s a way to utilize a nano swarm
839s well guess what that was a spoiler for
841s you all because that's what this is you
844s are releasing an aggressive uh swarm of
848s microbots that consume everything
852s and everything that they consume they
854s then bring back to you and repair your

858s so it will restore your hole and your
860s armor based on how much damage it does
863s and let me tell you what right now guys
866s this has not been properly balanced and
868s it is so broken
873s so we are going to be utilizing that to
875s the extreme now granted also you don't
877s have a tremendous number of shields
879s armor and hole as you can see behind me
881s um because this vessel doesn't receive a
883s lot of benefits it's a light fighter
885s right it's a light fighter
887s so you have to have a nice balance here
890s the shield only has a 20 bonus this is a
893s tier 2 ship mind you it's a 20 bonus the
896s armor only gets 10 bonus
899s and the hole is you know it's the whole
902s it has incredible handling

906s and then the tractor beam range yeah of

911s the uh stinger in a nutshell i can't go
913s through all the passives at the moment

1097s the gunship is basically doing double
1099s damage but also consuming energy twice

1113s when that third hardpoint goes
1116s it's simply a 50 increase in damage

2071s we have started the very
2074s intense process of rebalancing the
2076s energy capacity and consumption for
2079s weapons shields and thrusters
2082s and also what is provided through the
2084s energy cores so uh so you guys are aware
2087s like we have an output to the extreme
2090s for the weapons here
2092s this is entirely built out for helping
2094s your weapons last the longest they
2097s possibly can through that regeneration
2099s and we're still having to cycle back and
2101s forth a healthy amount of time and i
2103s know some people have commented on this
2105s in the past and whatnot but uh just you
2107s are aware this is getting a pretty
2109s decent uh balancing pass through it
2112s for uh this spring update this will be
2115s live in the spring update
2117s so if you are one of those players who's
2119s just like i'll just keep using the same
2121s weapon forever uh you're gonna have to
2123s be careful about your energy management
2125s and it's not something that's like
2126s incredibly hard to do you just have to
2128s pay attention to it if your energy core
2130s starts falling a couple levels behind
2132s you're not crafting new ones you're not
2134s modifying ones you have you're gonna
2136s feel it

2139s so you have to take uh proper care and
2141s attention
2142s uh on that front at the very least oh we

2441s longer it can be used also if you're
2443s looking at the devices right now uh
2445s there is a bug in the current dev build
2446s it's going to be rectified but basically
2448s we could make it to where you have
2449s endless uses for certain devices sorry
2452s that's not intended uh otherwise
2455s the expertise of this vessel is also
2457s really important that additional
2459s hardpoint can be expanded in its usage
2462s the more expertise you have i don't have
2465s uh a crazy amount of expertise but it's
2468s a pretty good amount uh for where we're
2471s at with this level and we're adding 52
2474s to it and because it lasts for five
2476s seconds that means it lasts now for
2477s approximately seven and a half seconds

2485s this third hardpoint does not consume
2488s any energy whatsoever it is an added
2491s hardpoint to the weapon you are already
2493s using so your weapon's gonna use the

2499s increased by 50 percent and has that
2502s incredibly cool addition

4920s like bypass shields kinetic all the way
4922s uh everything just gets destroyed some
4925s of you want to have all those
4926s conditional modifiers to adjust in uh uh

4930s basically screw over your opponents like
4931s there's a lot of different routes that
4933s you'll end up being able to take you
4934s know you also have like single fire
4936s damage uh area of effect
4938s it just keeps going on and on and on and
4941s we want that inventory space so that you
4943s can start comparing and um
4945s i like getting those benefits from
4947s accordingly
4949s and that will just continue to expand as
4951s more content is made because there's
4954s more item types and whatnot

5801s so what that does whenever you have an
5803s optimized uh

5806s so uh for example on this speed word
5808s this benca speedward we have the
5810s structure being 231 and the expertise
5813s 195 if we optimized it those would go to
5816s their max possible values that they
5818s could provide
5820s and i don't actually know it would be at
5822s level 20 maybe it's like 250 or 270

5829s so that can be a very very powerful tool

6682s a level 22 item i can then use that
6685s prototype prefix and it basically raises
6687s all of the stats accordingly um
6691s even higher which you can't do through
6693s modify because you can't raise the level
6695s higher than what it current like if if
6697s it's
6698s higher level than what you are then you
6700s wouldn't be able to use it but by
6702s applying the catalyst or the prototype
6705s excuse me
6707s by applying the prototype uh prefix that
6710s basically bypasses that entirely so
6712s you're effectively making it even
6713s stronger than where you're currently at
6715s so that is a that's a good one

6871s and their energy capacities and going
6873s back through the ships and adjusting
6875s their level of balance as well

6879s necessary
6881s because they invoke this
6883s overarching
6885s systematic change like almost from a
6887s foundational level there's a lot of work
6890s on that front right
6891s so when we were looking at the state of
6896s resources and the state of how it's
6898s meant to be implemented in the game you
6900s know
6901s the drake system was kind of our call to
6903s action
6904s we have to get this established where
6906s when you go to certain locations and
6908s you're mining resources right like
6910s over here at neftes plains or even
6913s better alsaini station
6915s we want you to know where you're getting
6917s the resources from how it's like how
6920s available it is from those sites
6922s so here for anybody who's missed this
6925s with this whole big package of resource
6927s updates you can tell the density of the
6930s resources
6932s just by looking at the map alone now you
6933s do have to unlock the perk that gives
6936s you more map information
6938s but once you have that it tells you
6940s where you're going to have high
6942s concentrations of resources medium or
6944s low where you can go back and gather
6946s them naturally instead of having to
6949s grind out random containers and random
6951s stations that might happen to sell them
6953s or might happen to drop them

6956s um and this does the reason why this is
6959s so fragmented of course is because this
6961s is getting applied to this update right
6963s so the backwards compatibility does not
6966s work here if you've found resources uh
6968s throughout your game experience already
6970s you pull over that save file it's gonna
6972s start from ground zero and the reason is
6974s because before resources could naturally
6976s generate randomly from locations that's
6979s no longer the case
6981s they are intentionally spawning
6983s intentionally generating
6985s at these sites
6986s so you obtain certain resources from
6990s certain regions
6991s spread all over the dmz
6996s so
6997s very large change very large change on
7000s this resource overhaul and of course
7002s through that also comes all of this
7004s crafting and management here um and
7006s there's there's still more there's still
7008s more coming but
7010s just note
7011s uh yeah this this has been a very
7013s very large amount of work that we've
7015s undertaken but we do feel it is
7017s necessary in order for us to capitalize
7020s on the game space and how you're
7023s building yourselves up to reach these
7025s points into the game
7028s the crafting
7029s was necessary to overhaul the resources
7032s were necessary to overhaul and we are
7034s very pleased thus far
7037s with the results
7040s it's been very good

7447s the reason why we changed the naming
7448s convention is that rogue is just a
7449s little bit too fantasy based and also
7451s not as applicable to this uh the ship

7457s envisioned it to be a pr previously and
7459s instead we're changed the formula the
7461s void swarm how it does damage over time
7464s it stings your opponents it's got the
7465s third hard point that you're used line
7468s almost as like a literal stinger hanging
7469s off the ship uh it just felt so much
7471s more appropriate so the naming
7473s convention did get altered other naming
7475s conventions could in fact be changed at
7478s random points in time in the future um
7481s we've seen it across the board already
7483s um so don't get too super comfortable
7486s with something that you love actually
