396s	game isn't as far on as his so i've been
398s	trundling through the content and trying
400s	to make my way there slowly and then all

408s	the save and a nice little ship which

416s	some of you who've played everspace one
418s	will probably recognize the uh
421s	the skin the coloration very everspace

429s	so uh yes we're gonna do that but first

439s	first it is still early access i've got
441s	to point out i know without the summer
443s	update it's still early access we're not
445s	out there until early 2023

458s	have done a fantastic job in the
460s	experimental this week where you've
462s	catalogued so many instances of where
464s	we've hit issues and then the

468s	feverishly to sort those out uh and get
471s	the patches sorted so that you can have
473s	as smooth uh an update as possible but
475s	we're still gonna have issues okay
477s	that's that's early access uh but with
479s	your help we are pinning down the little
482s	bad bugs that are spoiling the gameplay
484s	so uh yeah
485s	get it downloaded if you haven't already
486s	i can see a few of you in the chat uh
488s	like oh grabbing the update oh yeah crap

497s	quite a few little things
500s	big things first of all factions we've
502s	got not one

505s	but three new factions for you to deal
508s	with in the direct system

511s	some of you will be aware of a
514s	quite large streamer uh called call
516s	carnage um i mean he's got rookie
518s	numbers but let's be fair you know
520s	you've got to start somewhere um he's a
522s	great backer of everspace world and
524s	every space too and
526s	he has his own faction in the game and
528s	it's called the coalition which is named
530s	after his followers who are the co
532s	elition
533s	uh so we'll we'll get to meet them
536s	also we will get to meet the zorillia
540s	and that is named after
542s	uh another top tier backer called
545s	zarelia fully enough
546s	very hot these guys very hot very hot

557s	start the gang wars quest i will and i i

570s	we're going to meet the retaliators okay
573s	they do control the water and ice theme
575s	locations that we're going to dive into
577s	literally uh they're very aggressive but
580s	you've got to stay frosty
583s	very bit of a pond there a bit of a pond
585s	and we've also got some new perks as
587s	well uh obviously when you meet some of
589s	your friends and allies they unlock
592s	various perks and these are going to be
595s	one is particularly terrine who if you
598s	know him from everspace1 which some of
600s	you will do um obviously he makes a
602s	return spoiler sorry uh but he's going
605s	to help you out with the ship dealers um
607s	in various ways
610s	anyways oh the awful nick the pence
612s	scheme has big new conglomerate energy
614s	from planetside indeed i was a
617s	planetside two player as well
618s	uh i did play on the nc team
621s	even though we got
623s	beaten up quite badly from time to time
625s	but uh yeah very nc um also you're gonna
629s	have another
631s	uh perk with hive uh and he's gonna
634s	improve the our pilot's abilities to
636s	switch secondaries mid fight
638s	yes but you've got to unlock it first
640s	obviously you've got to do a bit of work
641s	and get it unlocked ive is probably my
643s	favorite sidekick in any game i've ever
646s	played to be fair
647s	absolutely um sarcasm central he really
650s	is
651s	absolutely fantastic i love his uh
654s	cutting remarks
656s	another thing that we're going to get
657s	and a lot of you are really enjoying
659s	these is the high-risk mutators um so
663s	when you go into a high-risk area
666s	it can be a battle anywhere it can be a
668s	struggle to deal with
670s	um a lot
672s	of what
673s	enemies you find in those areas but now
676s	you can mutate them in terms of
679s	some things that will help you
680s	and some things that will hinder you but
682s	then you get big bonuses so it's a bit
684s	of risk reward there um if you want to
687s	dive into those you can now really
689s	challenge yourself and get the rewards
691s	if you can complete that high risk area
695s	tough they're going to be tough they're
696s	going to be tough uh what else we've got
698s	quality of life improvements now this is
700s	a big thing obviously all through the
702s	development of the game from start to
704s	finish we're always trying to improve
706s	the quality of the game
708s	i mean why wouldn't we to be fair it's
709s	uh
710s	it's what we're famous for he's making a
712s	polish game so we want to make sure that
714s	all the way through we do have
716s	improvements
717s	so
719s	a lot of that's down to you uh obviously
722s	some of your ideas uh that you post in
724s	the discords and the steam forums uh etc
727s	do you get
728s	transferred into the game so please do
730s	continue that
731s	okay we'll put everything that you
733s	suggest but suggestions are what we live
735s	and breathe on because it gives us ideas
737s	to develop

739s	new things to implement and you know
741s	that's why we like you to be involved so

753s	uh so what is in the quality of life
756s	well he thinks we get some crafting of
759s	consumables
762s	we can craft them now so as you play you
764s	can craft things that you need we can
766s	also craft some components
769s	yeah
770s	you can see where this is going can't
771s	you with all the crafting
772s	and rewa resource tracking so
775s	if you want to craft those consumables
777s	and craft those components but you don't
779s	know where to find them you can now
781s	track those resources
783s	on your map you'll find areas that
786s	kind of give you a chance or a higher
788s	chance to get those resources that you
791s	need so they are always in every area
793s	and there will be in various amounts but
794s	they are
795s	renowned for being in those areas
798s	and then one of the other quality of
799s	lights which is probably a good one to
801s	be fair is the hot swapping of armor so
804s	while you're in you know
806s	in the fight instead of having to go
808s	back to your home base or
810s	dock somewhere
811s	and actually uh swap your armor out you
813s	can do that hot swap style uh wherever
816s	you are
817s	it's very very handy very very handy so
820s	what else have we got down here
822s	i've got lots of notes lots of notes
824s	lots of notes lots of notes um
827s	obviously eric has been going through a
830s	lot of the new sound effects and uh if
832s	you've not seen them or heard them
835s	rather uh in the summer update you are
838s	definitely gonna enjoy these uh
840s	obviously guerrero has an amazing job of
842s	improving the sfx and it all depends on
845s	the rarity of the actual weapon that
848s	you're firing so um
850s	um
851s	get ready to blast your ear rolls off
852s	that's going to be some good stuff some
854s	good stuff um
858s	we have suggested and we're still
859s	suggesting that if you are going to
861s	start
862s	um playing through the summer update is
865s	still best practice to go out there and
868s	start a new game i know it means
870s	obviously starting from the beginning
871s	but we have come across a few bugs with
873s	old saves which we try and mitigate as
875s	much as possible but
877s	it's still best practice to to start
879s	afresh
880s	yeah like say a lot of you guys have
882s	done a lot of work a lot of grinding
884s	keep those saves you know you can still
886s	dive in
887s	uh etc
889s	but let's be um
891s	let's be mindful that you will
892s	experience bugs with those old saves so
894s	um yeah start afresh and see what things
896s	you might miss and it might improve your
898s	whole play through as well
900s	um
902s	else was there
903s	obviously the balance across the game
906s	um
907s	this is one of the patch notes that you
909s	just got to take note of is that drake
911s	is currently sitting at a slightly
913s	higher difficulty level
915s	um
916s	there's no picnic out there so uh if
918s	you're gonna dive in expect um
922s	trouble should we say you've got to be
924s	careful you've got to be careful when
924s	you dive into that so um yeah uh oh med
928s	bed i knew that i wish there was a a new
930s	game plus in the s2 yeah i know what you
932s	mean i don't mean that one but
934s	we shall see we should
936s	uh track ir
938s	only enough
939s	you might actually see
941s	i am trying the track i are tonight so
943s	we're going to see how that
944s	implementation
945s	fits into the game i have tested it
946s	already uh and it does seem to play
949s	quite very immersive i have been playing
951s	a lot in the first person view and then
953s	using head tracking to uh scout around
956s	so uh yeah it's good it is good
959s	uh and also the amd fsr
961s	uh is implemented now there's been a few
963s	little issues with that we're hoping to
965s	smooth those out as well again early
967s	access um etc new graphical glitches but
971s	hopefully we're pinning those down as we
973s	go through uh
975s	and then if i could do it in a high
977s	voice but i can't
978s	um and stop it off or top it all off
982s	there's another bloody sale on yes oh
985s	if you've not already dived in now is
987s	the time on steam 25 off
990s	bargain bargain remember when we get to
992s	full release next next year uh whenever
994s	that is early 2023
997s	uh it's gonna be
999s	a bit of a price bump price bump so if
1001s	you want to get in now now is the time
1003s	if you're still a bit undecided there is
1005s	a demo available on steam so please do
1008s	check it out but um i'm i'm biased and
1010s	i'm sure a lot of the chat are as well
1013s	uh that we think you should dive in now
1015s	and certainly uh get your toes wet in

1020s	a wonderful game called everspace 2.

1039s	mine's set up quite sensitive uh this is
1042s	third person but literally as i tilt my
1044s	head
1045s	if you've never seen it track ir system
1047s	and then you can tip sideways etc you
1050s	can roll as well
1052s	if you need to now the only thing that
1053s	it doesn't do is the six depth of field
1055s	which is the forward and backwards on
1057s	that axis but to be honest with you
1060s	i can't really do it because i'll be
1061s	smacking my microphone but it would be
1063s	um you know
1065s	smacking yourself against the windshield
1066s	so
1068s	yeah we're gonna try it as we go uh
1070s	hopefully so
1072s	if you don't know how to start uh to get
1074s	to drake you need to come back to ready
1076s	two to the home base
1077s	uh
1079s	uh shreem uh yeah it's called track ir
1081s	that's the one yeah track ir
1083s	um so um yeah it does add a bit of
1086s	realism obviously
1088s	some people were very disappointed that
1089s	there was no um vr um obviously reasons
1092s	have been outlined time and time again
1094s	but this is a very immersive um option
1097s	if you want to
1099s	there are other options as well not only
1101s	track ir open uh
1103s	open ir as well so there's various ones
1105s	but i have the track ir system um but
1108s	yeah definitely check it out so
1110s	hot pit bud when you're in there
1113s	very handy

1126s	not bad but i have been playing quite uh
1128s	significantly in
1130s	first person anything you can see

1142s	base we're going to head there and then
1144s	we need to speak to ellick he's going to

1171s	on somehow always pitched on the edge of
1173s	war everyone's lives at risk yes other

1233s	through the hidden wormhole in union i

1239s	accounted for

2233s	it can drift a little bit but that's
2235s	just the nature of the track i are it's
2237s	not anything to do with the
2238s	implementation etc
2241s	but yeah so if for any reason it's off
2243s	center you just could just hit a last
2244s	one and then boom

2747s	potentially buy each time you visit a
2749s	ship dealer that could be a good one to
2751s	unlock so i know some of you are really

6971s	really cool i love the shadows as well
6972s	the way that the broken parts casting
6974s	the shadows onto the other parts i mean
6976s	such a bright
6977s	light source as well but again
6980s	phenomenal work from the art team
6981s	absolutely phenomenal
6986s	then we have quizar again and this one
6989s	uh obviously
6991s	is one of the uh
6994s	areas
6996s	where you could get into a bit of
6998s	trouble with the flame which you saw
7000s	that i did earlier uh but we called one
7003s	this one into the fire it almost looks
7004s	like you're just about to throw
7006s	that ship straight into a furnace
7009s	uh in the hope that you come out with
7010s	the other side perfectly fine
7012s	but it looks very industrial very hot
7015s	molten metal environment uh and
7019s	i think you're going in on a wing on a
7020s	prayer into that tiny gap i'm just
7022s	wondering is that ship gonna fit are you
7024s	gonna scratch your paintwork hopefully
7025s	you'll get through there without too
7027s	much damage

7043s	i actually when i first saw this one on
7045s	the discord channel um i looked at that

7054s	doors of during which this is the
7056s	entrance way into moriah um and from a
7060s	distance that's all i could see because
7061s	of the the hologate uh symbols being
7065s	lit by the moon etc uh and that's all i
7068s	can see but i i love that it's got such
7070s	a depth of field he looks so far away
7072s	because of the rocks at the front that
7074s	it is
7075s	um a wonderful environment so we're
7078s	fair player med bed i love that one
7080s	probably one of my favorites one of my
7081s	favorites one of my favorites
7085s	now this is actually a fan out one uh
7087s	this is only the only finance we got but
7089s	obviously people were too busy enjoying
7091s	uh the update in the experimental so but
7093s	this is obviously
7095s	uh the wormhole uh that we took uh
7099s	near the start to drake
7102s	great um screenshot there from excel
7105s	obviously a little bit of enhancement

7108s	but uh you can see that they're just
7110s	about to go down the
7111s	sinkhole into potential oblivion hoping
7113s	to come out somewhere
7115s	and seemingly we do come out in the
7116s	direct system um i love the sharpness of
7119s	the actual ship
7121s	and the coloration as well it fits the
7123s	theme
7124s	and all the spectrum colours in the
7125s	background as well but uh well done

7137s	a new galactic photographer in terms of
7139s	posting screenshots and this one i've
7142s	called quintessential because it
7143s	literally is just quintessential

7147s	all over you've got so many aspects that
7149s	just make up everspace you know even
7151s	from the first game into the second game
7153s	there is so so much uh about that that
7157s	you just cannot uh not like it you know
7161s	it really is um i do suggest you check
7163s	out the screenshot channel as well
7166s	because um obviously the spoiler tags
7168s	are now taken down because everybody
7170s	should have access uh near enough apart
7172s	from obviously the microsoft
7174s	variant we are still waiting on those to
7178s	pass certification and uh allow the
7180s	update to be downloaded but yeah please
7182s	go check out the screenshots in there
7185s	this one is from highbath and i've
7187s	called it rocket
7190s	simply because you can just about see in
7192s	that top corner uh that he has just
7194s	fired a rocket from uh the viewpoint of
7197s	the pilot uh and it's not one that
7199s	you'll often see because obviously most
7200s	people are too busy um
7203s	looking at what they're shooting at but
7205s	amazing
7206s	amazing screenshot
7208s	because it just captures that moment

7211s	you're gonna potentially do some damage
7212s	with that doing some damage

7231s	light sources you've got the dark you've

7234s	asteroids you've got the broken bits

7240s	it is amazing the just the the color
7243s	gradients between the two and obviously
7244s	the lights and the shadows as well so
7246s	fair play cracking stuff i say it's been
7249s	very very difficult to just break these
7250s	down
7251s	to some top top stuff that's what i've
7253s	had to bring out so many
7255s	because it was just too difficult to uh
7257s	to narrow them down
7259s	this is a bright one and this one is
7262s	bill farson uh well done bill uh this
7264s	one was called energy ball and you can
7267s	see why he's radiating some heat there
7269s	you know not only bright light but some
7272s	serious serious heat as well uh and
7275s	it does feel very very hot and the ship
7278s	itself is just like you're going gtfo

7283s	that that thing is gonna absolutely
7284s	inviscerate yourself

7317s	dragonfly just flustering uh vertically
7320s	that's what i saw again loving that
7322s	there's so much going on in the
7323s	background but the domination of the
7325s	ship at the front um just kind of peels
7327s	your eyes away and then you see oh there
7329s	is some other stuff going on oh what's
7330s	that over there uh great shot uh bill uh
7333s	sorry hi bath love it okay florey's like

7338s	these all night absolutely absolutely

7368s	are sure to bring and make the game it
7370s	may seem unappealing to be a rock and a
7373s	fish but what they are cooking is a
7375s	delicious gamer's dish

7382s	this is the game for you
7384s	you are adam roslin a mysterious human
7387s	clone and a space adventuring pilot
7390s	who's also bad to the bomb

7400s	be sure to check your shield if the bad

7405s	that starry field is a fusion hook for

7411s	case the quest gets rough catalysts and
7414s	special gear will make you smile from
7416s	ear to ear
7418s	also keep your home base comfy and don't

7487s	testing it already to a brilliant level

7499s	the coalition the zarelia the
7501s	retaliators you've got new perks from
7503s	terrain and also from hive you've got
7505s	the mutators that are going to affect
7507s	your high-risk areas which are going to
7509s	make it even more challenging but also
7511s	more rewarding you've got the quality of
7513s	life improvements which is across the
7516s	board but that is down to you guys you
7518s	know giving us the information that you
7519s	think would be a good idea suggestions
7522s	everything like that

7527s	i'll just echo what eric said last week
7529s	if you are playing um the
7531s	update for the first time we do suggest
7534s	that you play
7536s	with a fresh save just so that you don't
7538s	get any weird bugs because we have
7540s	had some
7541s	bugs that have come into it because it
7543s	just uh the overtime
7545s	you know these things happen and we
7546s	don't want you to have us a
7548s	game-breaking bug where you can't do
7550s	something and then we realize it's
7551s	because it's an old save that's causing
7553s	a problem so do start afresh
7555s	and then head out there uh
7557s	and then obviously track ir and amd fsr
7560s	is now implemented you saw a little bit
7562s	of me playing with it it is quite nice
7565s	so if you're interested check out truck
