Sooo, continuing from the posts from yesterday:

After I tried to improve my circuitry a bit further, I pretty much got it to work, but at the same time I realized I can achieve even better results by removing the circuit completely, and using the 1 extra overflow line as an extra input.

I could get 4 belts of ore throughput with shorter footprint, or 5 if I make it longer.

Now I am sad because the original idea is unused, but at the same time the result is better. :D

It's cheaper, simpler to build, doesn't even need substations, and supports 1 more belt for the 12 tile height.

At least other people made some very nice building on top of the original concept. :) Which is great!
