[2021] Crash on launch (Black Screen)

Ever since the Tempest update on steam my copy of For Honor fails to open at launch and instead goes unresponsive. It gives me a black screen and no matter how long I wait it will not open. When clicked it asks to be closed down. I have resorted to every tip on how to fix my problems on customer help and even going as far as to uninstall and reinstall the game twice but despite my efforts none of them came up. I need help, especially from player support. I've been trying to reach them out through gmail since October 15 but I've had no replies. I really miss playing the game and I really want to go back to it dearly.

Oh and for other details the game was gifted to me on July 27, 2021.
