hi. i recently bought For Honor on Steam and was able to play it twice. Yesterday, I tried loading it to play it several times and it won't start. I am getting this error message:

"Starting game
There was a problem authenticating the ownership of this product. Please contact customer support if you need help solving this problem."

Please get this game working for me. I paid for the complete edition.

Hi there, spadejade2000, and greetings to the forums! When receiving the authentication error message when accessing your game from Steam, this means that you are logged into another Ubisoft account that wasn't registered with your copy of For Honor. To help gather further information to ensure you are able to access For Honor, we will need to speak one on one about your account. Please reach out to us by submitting a support ticket or contacting us from our Twitter and Facebook support page including the following information:

* Ownership files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\ownership
* Steam proof of purchase

Thanks for confirming this information, the reason we have asked you to contact us directly is due to not being able to discuss specific details regarding your Ubisoft account or request confirmation of these transactions via this open forum. Please note, while out Twitter support is not a live chat service one of our support agent will get back to you via your direct message as soon as possible, but you can always contact our "Live Chat" service when this is available.

In the meantime, as the error message you have provided is caused by attempting to log into a different Ubisoft account than the one this game license was activated on. As a short term workaround you may wish to fully log out of your Ubisoft Connect and Steam accounts then reopen your Steam Library and attempt to launch For Honor again, logging into the correct Ubisoft account when prompted.
